It’s hard to believe another month has flown by. This month I started a new job, worked super hard on my summer economics class, and just had a great summer so far. I love being home and relaxing, but with summer also means I’m not wearing a ton of makeup. I still managed to find five products that I have been loving for the month of June!
I’m not a huge fan of really intense lipstick shades, especially in the summer time. So when Colourpop launched their new line of blotted lips I had to pick up a few shades. A favorite for the month of June has been the blotted lipstick in the shade Ice Cube. It’s the perfect mauve pink lipstick that just gives a hint of color on the lips. The color is super natural but makes your lips stand out a little bit.
Fluffed Up Lashes
Mascara is my absolute must for almost every day. I have been using Tarte’s Gifted mascara for the past month almost non-stop to make my lashes super fluttery and voluminous. This brush is similar to Tarte’s other mascara that I have tried, Light’s Camera Lashes, but the formula is a little less dry than that one which I appreciate. It’s super easy to swipe on in the morning and lasts all day.
I really love royal blue nails all year long, but I found a new favorite that has been on my nails most of the month. Essie’s All the Wave is the perfect muted royal blue. It’s a little less intense than some of my other blues, but looks so nice on my fingernails and especially on the toes when I’m wearing sandals.
As someone who struggles with acne, I’m always looking for the next product that is going to transform my skin (or at least help it out!). Lush’s Let the Good Times Roll Cleanser has been on rotation all month long. I’ve really seen a huge difference in the texture of my skin, I’m still dealing with breakouts but they are clearing up a little bit.
Not that you don’t need to protect your skin all year long, but especially since I’m working outside at camp all summer I have been very liberal on applying SPF every morning and throughout the day. I have a couple different formulas on rotation, but the product that has really stood out to me is the Banana Boat Dry-Balance Sunscreen Lotion. This works so well on my face because the formula absorbs excess oil so the sunscreen stays in place. I have a little sample from a Target Beauty Box, but I will be purchasing again.
