I used to strictly use drugstore face cleansers, but ever since my skin has been acting out I’ve been trying out some more expensive and gentle options. I have three face washes that I’ve been trying out for the past few months and I wanted to share them with you today!
Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Cleanser: This is a very gentle cleanser, so gentle in fact they say you can use this on your eyes. I’m scared of getting things in my eye, so I stick with other products to remove my makeup, but this does a really good job of cleansing my skin. It’s a cream like formula, and I think it smells faintly of lemons, but or else its a very light scent either way. I like the way it feels on my face and it doesn’t leave a residue on my skin.
Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild: I picked up this set during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty, which contained this cleanser. My skin goes from oily to dry to normal it seems in a matter of days. I was using this in the spring when my skin was transitioning from dry winter skin. It wasn’t as hydrating as I thought it would be, but it didn’t strip my skin and it made it feel clean.
Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam: This came in another trial set, which I wanted to try to combat some of the acne I’ve been struggling with. Surprisingly, it’s a very gentle cleanser even though it does contain salicylic acid to help with acne. I don’t love that it’s a foam because I feel like I use more product than I usually would if it was a gel or cream. This is the cleanser I’m currently using, and it has been helping my acne and keeping my oils at bay.
